I enjoy human beings a lot better if...

"When my consciousness is on another human being's feelings and needs I see the universality of all of our experience. I have a big conflict with what goes on his head, his way of thinking. But I've learned that I enjoy human beings a lot better when I don't hear what they think. I've learned, especially with folks that have his kinds of thoughts, that I can enjoy life a lot better if I hear what's going on in their heart and not get caught up with that stuff that comes out of the head."
Marshall Rosenberg, The Surprising Purpose of Anger. Beyond Anger Management: Finding the Gift (2005)
